Following a successful 2008-2009 school year including strong campus involvement and another incredible rush, members of Phi Delta Theta were invited to travel to Washington D.C. and New York this spring.

Jimmy Stringer (Bond #312), Worth Eubanks (Bond #323), Nelson McGough (Bond #338), and Tyler Flowers (Bond #345) visited Washington D.C. for six days. The members took a unique opportunity to visit The White House, The Capitol, and The Senate Floor, along with enjoying a breakfast with senators from the state of Tennessee.

The chapter members also visited Congressman Gregg Harper from Mississippi and Senator Thad Cochran from Mississippi. Chapter member Tim Wolverton (Bond #307) served as an intern for Senator Cochran for the 2009 spring semester. The members also visited Senator James Risch from Idaho, a fellow Phi Delt.

On top of having this impressive opportunity to meet these senators and congressmen, the members also enjoyed spending time at The Museum of American History and The U.S. Air and Space Museum.

Phi Delts with Governor Mike Huckabee of Fox News Click image above for NY album

Members Justin Williams (Bond 364), Paul Dotherow (Bond 394), Seth Dotherow (Bond 334), Adam Woods (Bond 402), and Kenny Tackett (Bond 392) were invited to participate in the studio audience of Governor Mike Huckabee's show on Fox News Channel in New York.

The members had a chance to meet the governor along with country singer Neil McCoy, as well as go on the air live with Fox Business anchors broadcasting nationally from the Waldorf-Astoria hotel. The members participated in the audience of the Colbert Report as well and went to a Yankees game.
