MS Beta Alumni Association Created
Article Posted: 9/19/2009 5:14:03 PM

With an alumni base of over 300 members, the active chapter, Housing Corporation, and Alumni Advisory Board are pleased to announce the formation of the Mississippi Beta Alumni Association.

The purpose of the association is to facilitate interaction among chapter alumni, as well as the active chapter, through coordinated events in Starkville and other areas. The group is positioned to respond to the needs of a fast-growing alumni base.

“The Alumni Board and House Corporation have been in existence for years, but the purpose of those groups has always been to work with the active chapter,” said John Genin, Alumni Advisory Board President. “The new Alumni Association is here to serve all of our Phi Delt graduates.”

The first officers of the new organization are Scott Wilson, president; Casey Hesser, vice president; and Eric McCully, secretary; other positions will continue to be added. These leaders will also act as a liaison between the alumni base and the active chapter and will communicate regularly with alumni.

New president, Scott Wilson, sees much potential. “Phi Delt at MSU has grown tremendously. Our alumni want to participate and stay connected; I think this is the best way to do that.”

More information on the organization, coming events and website will soon follow.
