After an impressive 2007-08 school year with national awards from Phi Delta Theta Headquarters, high levels of campus involvement, and another strong rush, fourteen chapter members took a unique opportunity to celebrate with a trip to New York City in October.

The chapter members were invited to take a personal tour of Fox News Channel given by "Fox & Friends" Emmy award-winning morning anchor Steve Doocy. Fox News is the leading cable news network who regularly dominates both CNN and MSNBC in combined viewership.

Phi Delts also accepted invitations as guests in the audiences of both CBS Television’s "Late Show with David Letterman," and "Late Night with Conan O’Brien" which airs on NBC. In addition, members took a private limousine tour of Manhattan, watched a Broadway play, and enjoyed a small improv comedy show featuring personalities from NBC's "Saturday Night Live," and "The Office," among others.

"This is an opportunity for a chapter that has done extremely well in many areas--including public relations--to uniquely experience the media and marketing capitol of the world," said John Genin, Alumni Board President and trip coordinator.

Ten active members and four alumni stayed in Times Square suites, including chapter members Will Barkley, Josh Becker, David Brinton, Alex Burton, Garrett Guynes, Austin Lovitt, Patrick Pierce, Nick Smith, John Thompson, Tim Wolverton, as well as alumni members Dylan Bradshaw, Spencer Broocks, John Genin, and Brad Plunkett.

A photo album from New York has been posted here.
